I have seen at very close range man at his worst: selfish, greedy, cowardly, and cruel. But I saw, also, man at his best: selfless, generous, and courageous. It is my experience that hope will prevail and that the human spirit is never defeated.

I’m sure millions before me have hit this quandary upon drafting their very first blog post – what to write about. So many thoughts, so much to ponder on, where to begin.
Should it be something personal, about myself? Should it be musings on the world around? Something light-hearted and fun, something serious and deserving discussion? A recipe perhaps or a photo?
Perhaps this is all it should be, a simple hello, I’m here, about to embark on a new adventure, something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. I’ve never been one to keep diaries, but I sure do have a lot of opinions, love for learning and discovery, and interest in the world around at large. So I’ll be back shortly with something more substantial, that one can dig one’s teeth into… just as soon as I’ve decided what to focus it on!
